Welcome to Quilt!

It's great to have you! Quilt is designed to help you generate accurate answers for security questionnaires, RFPs, and more by utilizing your uploaded documents. Follow this guide to quickly set up and make the most out of Quilt.

1. Upload Documents

Before you begin, make sure you upload relevant documents. Quilt pulls answers from these sources to minimize errors and provide accurate responses. If you don't upload a doc, we will simply be unable to answer questions.

Supported Sources

  • Public Web Pages: You can index publicly available websites. This is particularly useful for API documentation.

  • Google Drive: Upload Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and other supported file types directly from your Drive.

  • Other Formats Supported: We support .doc/docx, .pdf, .xls/.xlsx, .ppt/.pptx, and .txt files.

  • Get Help: If you need further help with document upload or want to integrate more sources, feel free to contact us for more information!

2. Ask Some Questions

Once your documents are uploaded, test out the platform by asking a few questions in the Chat Assistant. This will give you an idea of how Quilt generates answers from the indexed documents.

3. Upload an RFP

Steps to Upload

  • Select Your RFP File: Choose the questionnaire or RFP you want to upload. Make sure it's in .xlsx, .xlsm, .xls, or .csv formats.

  • Define Columns: Specify the columns where the questions are located and where you want the answers to appear.

  • Process Document: Quilt will start processing the document based on your specifications. The questionnaire should be ready in under an hour.

Review and Edit

Once ready, Quilt will automatically move the questionnaire into the “Ready for Review” section. Then, you can edit and finalize responses in-app.

Fill in the questions Quilt wasn't able to answer based on the docs, check the references to see how the answers were generated, and feel free to download the results.

4. More functionality

Upload the answers back

To make sure Quilt continues to be helpful to you and your team long-term, follow these quick steps to upload the correct responses to the RFP you just filled out.

Add your teammates

Having more team members will let you collaborate on RFPs and knowledge management. To get started, navigate to https://web.quilt.app/group/settings/members and add your teammates' email addresses. That should send them an invite link. Following it will let them get onboarded within seconds.
